40 metre footpath tunnel
This 40 metre footpath tunnel, connects the edge of the Humber Estuary to the Humber Bridge Country Park. It seemed to me there was this meeting point in the middle of the tunnel, a confluence between the viewer and the art work or the foreshore and the country park, in-between this connecting walkway, and for this reason the design started here, between land and water and ripples out to both ends of the tunnel. Included are past communities and the present day Humber Rescue, a dedicated volunteer lifeboat charity, saving lives on the Humber Estuary and suggested wildlife from the volunteers of the Country Park.
This project allowed me to include volunteers to help paint, youngsters from Malet Lambert School, Country Park and Gilberdyke Youth Club.
