The Sweetheart Pincushions are a heart shaped heavily decorated pincushion made by wounded British Soldiers during WW1 as a gift for loved ones. ‘Trench Art’ or occupational therapy to aid recovery from physical and psychological injuries. My aunty gave me this pincushion which was gifted to her by her father, which fitted beautifully in the memorial gardens.
