Community Mural Project in Bridlington
Pixel Beach is a vibrant community mural created in collaboration with local youngsters and ERVAS in Bridlington.
The underpass footpath was transformed using a photograph of Bridlington’s beachfront, which was pixelated in Photoshop to create a clear, stencil-friendly design. Volunteers used handmade square stencils to carefully build up the pixelated mural, bringing the scene to life.
Adding a personal touch, the youngsters’ own drawings of the lighthouse and a sailing boat were upscaled and painted exactly as they had imagined them on paper.
The result is a striking transformation of a previously dull space into a colourful, uplifting, and welcoming footpath for everyone to enjoy.
